In a proactive move to elevate the quality of Hajj operations, the Hajj Institute of Nigeria (HIN) has initiated the first phase of a comprehensive pilgrims’ satisfaction survey for the 2025 Hajj exercise.

The survey, currently being administered to Nigerian pilgrims participating in this year’s holy pilgrimage, seeks to gather crucial feedback on both onshore and offshore services provided by Hajj organisers.

This vital initiative aims to meticulously assess the satisfaction levels of pilgrims across a spectrum of service points.

These include initial registration and payment processes, pre-boarding and flight arrangements, reception at Saudi airports, transportation and accommodation in Madinah and Makkah, feeding and welfare services, medical care, and guided visits to religious and historical sites within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

According to the HIN, the invaluable responses collected from pilgrims will serve as a critical instrument for evaluating the performance of both State Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards and Private Tour Operators. Furthermore, the survey endeavors to gain insights into regional service delivery by collecting data segmented across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.

Pilgrims are being asked to rate services on key aspects, including:

 * Registration and payment processes

 * Pre-boarding and flight boarding arrangements

 * Reception at Saudi airports

 * Transportation and accommodation in Madinah and Makkah

 * Feeding and welfare services

 * Medical services

 * Historical site visits

Beyond quantitative ratings, participants are also strongly encouraged to provide general comments and constructive suggestions. This qualitative feedback is crucial for enabling the HIN and other relevant bodies to pinpoint areas needing improvement and to build upon existing successes for future Hajj operations.

The Hajj Institute has issued a strong appeal for sincere and objective responses from all participants, emphasizing that this data will directly inform policy improvements and strategic planning.

The ultimate goal is to foster a more fulfilling and seamless Hajj experience for Nigerian pilgrims in the years to come.

The survey remains ongoing and is open to all Nigerian pilgrims currently taking part in the 2025 Hajj. The HIN assures participants that all responses will be treated with the utmost confidentiality and will be utilised solely for developmental purposes aimed at enhancing the pilgrimage experience.
