Hajj Institute Takes Off With 21 Students

Following necessary accreditation and approval by relevant authorities, the Hajj Institute of Nigeria (HIN), midwifed by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), has officially commenced full training on Hajj and Umrah management by admitting 21 students for it’s  professional certificate program. As part of drive to end the bottlenecks associated with Hajj processes in Nigeria, the newly established Hajj Institute of Nigeria, (HIN) an institution under the supervision of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), has indicated interest to partner with the National Information Technology Development Agency, NITDA on digitising its processes. The Federal Ministry of Education has approved establishment and take-off of the Hajj Institute of Nigeria (HIN). This was formally disclosed during the “First Board and Stakeholders’ Strategic Review and Planning Meeting on Tuesday, 22 March, 2022 in the Hajj House boardroom. Present at the one-day retreat were the National Hajj Commission’s Chairman, Alhaji Zikrullah Kunle Hassan and his three commissioners. A team of inspectors from the National Board for Technical Education, (NBTE) were at the Hajj House from 15th – 17th December 2021 for a two-day statutory Resource Visit and Institutional Accreditation. The exercise is among the processes of granting approval for the licensing of new institutions such as the Hajj Institute of Nigeria (HIN), to be so called based on the recommendation of the delegation.
