The overall philosophy of professional certificate in strategic management for Policy makers of hajj and Umrah industry is to prepare them for certification as Professional Hajj/Umrah Managers. In the process, the programme shall reinforce their knowledge and skills in line with global best practices. The consciousness of Allah in particular, seeking His pleasure and clients’ satisfactions in general shall serve as major drivers in managing hajj/Umrah industry.

LEARNING OUTCOMES FOR PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATE PROGRAMME

Graduates of the Professional Certificate in Strategic Management of Hajj and Umrah Programme are expected to have learning outcomes that cover a range of cognitive levels, from basic knowledge acquisition to the higher-order thinking and practical skills required for strategic management in the Hajj and Umrah industry. They will be well-prepared to lead and innovate within this specialized field and;

1. be able to appreciate and describe the fundamental principles of leadership, management in the context of Hajj and Umrah operations and feel the weight of responsibility of organizing and caring for Allah’s guests.
2. demonstrate an understanding of the Arabic language, enabling effective communication with stakeholders in the Hajj and Umrah industry.
3. be able to explain the foundational concepts and theories of strategic management as they apply specifically to the Hajj and Umrah industry.
4. apply critical skills essential for managing and overseeing successful Hajj and Umrah operations, such as risk assessment, crisis management, and stakeholder engagement.
5. be proficient in analyzing and developing strategic plans for Hajj and Umrah operations, utilizing the Strategic Planning Process (SPP) and considering industry-specific factors.
6. demonstrate the ability to evaluate and manage teams effectively, fostering collaboration and synergy among team members in the context of Hajj and Umrah operations.
7. be capable of creating and implementing evaluation mechanisms, utilizing the value chain concept, to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of Hajj and Umrah operations, with a focus on continuous improvement and resilience in disrupted scenarios.
